Not sure what you mean "On to Egypt"

They went back to the studio after this and then there was another late Aug Red Rocks run as well the Giants Stadium show before Egypt.

2 Months

1978 found some great venues for the Dead, their first Red Rocks shows and On to Egypt shortly there after.

Add to the mix February, May and November runs at The Uptown Theatre Chicago.

That's all ...

okay, you're at it again with 07/08/1978, then you babble about all these great other months in 78 and fail to mention their fantastic From Egypt with Love run in October at Winterland...have you been smoking seeds?

I don't think Kochman is smoking anything, Strat. Perhaps that's the problem...

"then you babble about all these great other months in 78 and fail to mention their fantastic From Egypt with Love run in October at Winterland...have you been smoking seeds?"

No seed smoking in our house compadre, the operative word in the phrase was "venues" - 1978 found some great venues for the Dead, - venues as in Red Rocks, The Great Pyramid Sphinx Theatre and The Uptown Theatre Chicago.

1978 was all over the map in terms of performance acumen and agree with your assessment that the "From Egypt With Love" run was solid, though Winterland was something of a familiar place to the Dead, and let's not forget the 12/31/78 Closing of Winterland.

In terms of my posting show snippets without reviews, i've taken some heat for it, for several years i lurked here at the Forum in an attempt to locate any good performance that i may have been unfamiliar with.

I know from that experience many people throughout the world check into this place on a daily basis looking for the same and from time to time i'll get a compliment from someone who listened to the posted show with appreciation, and also realise that some folks "get the music" and for whatever reason are simply uncomfortable posting.

As always, thanks for your kind words!
